The US Military Deliberately Bombed the Syrian Army

By: Stewart Brennan

The US Military bombed a Syrian Army Position today, and in doing so, provided air cover for the Daesh mercenary terrorist army in the area.

Considering that the US Government insists that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must go, it now appears that the Americans and their coalition are engaged in actions to make that happen.

The US is currently forming a coalition to bomb Syria with some of their European NATO allies, while also supporting their NATO partner Turkey even after their illegal oil trade with the Daesh Terrorists, their bombing raids on Syria and their shooting down of the Russian Military jet over Syrian Airspace.

Despite the obvious crime of shooting down the Russian bomber, the US saw fit to excuse Turkey and warn Russia that if Russia retaliated against Turkey, then NATO would respond and evoke Article 5 of the NATO treaty...and that my friends, would lead to World War III; that's how serious this is.

The recent additions (France, Germany, and the UK), to the American war coalition against Syria, seems to have the US feeling it has a moral right to bomb Syria as they continue to insist that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad must go. The US Military escalation in Syria today proves without a doubt that the American’s are determined to eliminate the legitimate Syrian President and his government by force no matter what anyone thinks and it looks like they will destroy the entire country in doing so…

The US doesn't have to put American troops on the ground because they already employ a terrorist mercenary army in both Syria and Iraq, I say without hesitation that the US government and their NATO allies ARE THE TERRORISTS!

US-led coalition strikes Syrian army compound, several dead & injured

Source: Russia Today

What next?

Now that the American’s are exposed for clearly trying to destroy the Syrian Army, there will be a United Nations Security Council meeting to condemn the US Military action. The US will then deny their part or they will say it was an unfortunate incident, even though they had the coordinates of the Syrian army positions as well as the terrorist positions. Once again, Russia will be the real diplomat and call for the US and its illegal coalition (France, UK, Germany, Turkey, and others) to join the real and legal Russian coalition trying to rid the region of terrorism…to which the US response will be to turn the offer down and insist that the Russians work with the US and their coalition…

Russia has said it will abide by the Law unlike their American counter parts, so nothing will be resolved as the US will continue to thumb their nose at International law by conducting a “NON UN Sanctioned Attack” on an Independent nation…which by international law is a “War Crime”.

The US and its coalition STILL say Assad must go…they don’t have that right, only the Syrian people have that right; and if one really respects the Syrian peoples rights, then one would NOT be bombing their country without the Syrian governments permission, because everything must be coordinated with the ONLY real military force on the ground battling the terrorists..."The Syrian Army" who the US just bombed.

The ONLY legal way forward is for the US and its NATO vassal states to work with Russia, Iran and the Syrian government, to eliminate terrorism in Syria. The same can be said for eliminating terrorism in Iraq as well, where the US & Turkey have also broken international law and invaded that country repeatedly…when is this US Bullshit going to stop?

Anyone who believes that the US, Turkey, France, UK, and Germany (among others) are there fighting terrorism in the name of humanity have intentionally chosen to blind themselves by propaganda bullshit. If the US and its so called coalition were serious about eliminating terrorism then they would have joined the Russian initiative from the very start…even so, with all the so called “accidents” that are now piling up, one would expect a civilized human being to apologize, to admit their mistakes and join with a legitimate group who are really confronting terrorism head on…

Unfortunately, we are dealing with a gang of nations mostly from NATO countries who insist on removing the Syrian government regardless of the cost. They support belligerent terror funding countries like Saudi Arabia without question.

Saudi Arabia threatens Syrian President Assad with military action

The original Video and the News channel of Press TV were victims of Western censorship and removed from YouTube to cover up western War Crimes in Syria. Where possible, I will insert a mirror video of the report.

Both Syria and Iraq have been totally obliterated. They will never be the same again as the War crimes that started all of this back in 2003 in Iraq, has left the entire region in an absolute state of oblivion thanks to the US & UK who will not cease until every community in the Middle East has been destroyed and gutted of its history, and that is not a joke because it’s not far off…

Could it be that they the US & its allies are concerned with their “Interests”? And, what are those interests and who benefits? Have they told you yet? Maybe its “OIL” and their domination of the energy supplies throughout the region. It certainly isn’t freedom and democracy because what they are doing does NOT bring Freedom and Democracy!! Who benefits in the region? The ones bombing Syria should give everyone a crystal clear picture…And who is warring on Syria? The US, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel, Qatar, and others…I suspect they all get a piece of the action in their violent and malevolent game of Thrones.

Anyone with a moral conscious cannot support the actions of these heinous war crimes, if they do, then they are declaring that they support the very evil they claim to be fighting against. Shame on them, and shame on those who support the destruction of humanity…

At this rate, every nation on earth that does not side with the USA will be branded as the enemy, if they haven’t already been labelled so…

Terrorism all over the World is supported, funded, trained, and armed by the US, UK, France, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar, and others who’s GDP and economic interests are tied to the weapons manufacturers that are owned by these gang members of the economic mafia…

I’m absolutely disgusted with all of them and if and when the time comes, where I will be told to pick a side, I will not fight for this rabid bunch of criminal scumbags and neither should you if you have a moral compass!

Iran's top nuclear official has announced a plan for the official inauguration of Bushehr's nuclear power plant in southern Iran in mid-November or in December.

Bushehr nuclear power plant is currently nearing its pre-operation phase which means that initial tests for its reactor and turbine are in the final stages, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoun Abbasi told reporters on Wednesday.

The Iranian vice president added that the plant is getting closer to its 40 percent capacity, IRNA reported.

He stated that the steam which had already been produced in the plant was not transferred to the turbine to generate electricity and noted that the produced steam is currently injected to the turbine and electricity is generated.

The AEOI head explained that in a time-limited experimental phase, the produced electricity will join the grid but it will be then cut off to make necessary revisions.

On Sunday, Abbasi said that the first phase of the Bushehr plant has been scheduled to go on stream by the end of the holy month of Ramadan (early September) with a 40 percent capacity.

He noted that a pre-launch phase of the plant was due to be implemented by September and “if things proceed according to plans ... the [Bushehr] power plant will join the national grid with a 40 percent capacity.”

Iran signed a deal with Russia in 1995, under which the plant was originally scheduled to be completed in 1999, but the completion of the project was repeatedly delayed. The nuclear power plant was finally finished with the help of Russia following a three-decade delay.

In October 2010, Iran started injecting fuel into the core of the reactor at Bushehr nuclear power plant in the initial phase of its launch. However, engineers began removing the fuel rods in late February for safety reasons.

The unloading of the fuel delayed the plant's connection to the national grid, initially scheduled for the beginning of 2011.

Iran president urges end to dollar supremacy

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for an end to the dollar dominance, as the US economic crisis would lead to further devaluation of the currency.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with Russian Security Council secretary, Nikolai Patrushev, in the Iranian capital Tehran on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

“Considering that the US Treasury prints dollar and this is how the US budget deficit is reduced by using resources in countries like Iran and Russia, Tehran and Moscow could have useful cooperation to end reliance on dollar,” the Iranian president said.

Patrushev, for his part, hailed the suggestion by the Iranian president, stating that there is a huge capacity to increase the level of cooperation between the two countries, using their local currencies.

Ahmadinejad also welcomed Russia's proposal to solve the dispute over Iran's nuclear energy program based on a staged approach.

On July 13, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov proposed a new "step-by-step" approach toward Iran's nuclear program that would enable the Islamic Republic to take steps to address questions raised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Under the proposed plan, Iran would revive negotiations to alleviate individual concerns of the IAEA about its nuclear activities and be rewarded along the way by the partial removal of sanctions.

Ahmadinejad also said that practical measures, including the launching of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, could be a “positive step” toward deepening relations.

Patrushev arrived in Tehran on Monday for a two-day visit upon an invitation from Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili.

'Bushehr Nuclear Plant to join grid by Sept.'

The first phase of Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant has been scheduled to be launched by the end of the holy month of Ramadan (early September) with a 40 percent capacity.

Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereydoun Abbasi Davani announced that a pre-launch phase of the plant was due to be implemented by September and “If things proceed according to plans ...the [Bushehr] power plant will join the national grid with a 40 percent capacity,” IRNA reported.

He stated that should certain technical tests be successfully executed, then the power plant will link up to the national power grid.

He further alluded to the safety standards of the power plant and emphasized, “We will observe the safety of the plant at the highest level, especially following the impact of what happened at the Fukushima nuclear power station on the world public opinion.”

Abbasi anticipated that the power plant would be officially launched in its entirety by next December.

The construction of Bushehr power plant started in 1975 when Germany signed a contract with Iran. Germany, however, pulled out of the project following the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iran then signed a deal with Russia in 1995, under which the plant was originally scheduled to be completed in 1999, but the completion of the project was repeatedly delayed. The nuclear power plant was finally finished with the help of Russia following a three-decade delay.

The unloading of the fuel delayed the plant's connection to the national grid, initially scheduled for the beginning of 2011.

Iran vows 'regrettable' reply to Israel

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks during an interview with Russia Today on August 12, 2011.

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/193841.html

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned Israel and the US against launching a war on Iran, saying the Islamic Republic will give a regrettable response to any strike.

“They wish to do it, they want to do it, but they know about our power. They know that we are going to give them a decisive response,” said President Ahmadinejad in an interview with Russia Today news network on Saturday.

“We have a saying in our language: If someone throws a smaller stone (at you), you should respond with a bigger stone. We will defend ourselves within our capabilities,” he added.

However, the Iranian chief executive expressed hope that such a day will never come as there is no reason for any strike against Iran.

President Ahmadinejad emphasized that Israel has been founded for the purpose of making threats and aggression and securing the interests of the West.

He also reiterated that the entity of the Israeli regime depends on terror, occupation and aggression.

In the past 60 years, Israel has done the same thing, but finally it will look at the world map and will find out about our historical might, Ahmadinejad concluded.

Amid a standoff over Iran's nuclear program, both Tel Aviv and Washington have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the "option" of a military strike, based on the allegation that Iran's nuclear work may consist of a covert military agenda.

Iran says its nuclear program is completely peaceful and within the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which it is a signatory.

Iranian officials have warned that any act of aggression by the US and Israel against Iran would be firmly responded to and could result in a war that would spread beyond the Middle East.

In June, former head of Israel's Mossad spy agency Meir Dagan warned that any attack on Tehran by Tel Aviv would result in a “regional war.”

"It is important to know what the outcome of an attack on Iran would be, what would happen on the day after and what situation Israel would find itself in on the international stage," he said.

"An attack on Iran would mean regional war,” stressed Dagan, urging Israeli officials to “consider all options and not to run straight for the war option.”

'Iran to build more nuclear plants'

A general view of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/193051.html

A senior Iranian lawmaker says the Islamic Republic plans to build more nuclear power plants in upcoming years as the country moves forward with its nuclear program.

Hossein Amiri Khamkani, a member of a special parliamentary committee set up to examine the status of the Bushehr plant, made the remark in an interview with Majlis news agency (ICANA) on Monday.

He said that the construction costs of a nuclear plant are by far more than fossil ones in the beginning but nuclear plants offer long-term benefits, which make them more economical than fossil ones.

He also noted that the Islamic Republic plans to build more nuclear plants in line with its national interests.

Khamkani, however, said that Russia may not be Iran's partner in future plant projects since Moscow had reneged on its promises to complete and launch Iran's first nuclear power plant on several occasions.

He blamed Russia for the delay in launching the Bushehr plant and said the plant was supposed to go on stream in January according to the latest agreement between Iran and Russia.

He pointed out that the committee has sent its final report on the status of the Bushehr plant to the Majlis (parliament) Presiding Board.

In the report, no exact date for the final launch of the plant was given but the report mentions that the Bushehr plant will not go on stream as planned for the end of August, he further explained.

Majlis has passed plans for setting up 20 more nuclear plants and the Iranian government is bound to build them.

More Iran oil in China despite sanctions

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/192572.html

China has increased crude oil imports from the Islamic Republic of Iran by 40 percent in spite of the United States sanctions on Iran's energy sector.

China's Sinopec Corp. is importing around 90,000 barrels a day of a super light crude from Iran, 40 percent more than previously reported, Reuters reported on Friday.

Sinopec is taking the South Pars condensate from the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) under a term deal that started in January, a main factor behind the rise in China's crude oil imports from Iran in the first half of the year, the report added.

The volume is 40 percent larger than the annual supply of 24 million barrels reported earlier.

The deal to supply the super light crude, an ideal feedstock to make petrochemicals and worth $3 billion a year, was part of a broader alliance the two national oil firms clinched under which Asia's largest refiner would upgrade and build refineries in Iran.

According to the report, Iran shipped about 15 million barrels of condensate from its giant South Pars gas project to at least three Sinopec refineries -- Tianjin, Zhenhai and Maoming -- where the light crude oil is used to feed ethylene crackers.

The condensate, making up 16 percent of China's total crude imports from Iran, has helped bolster China's Iranian oil purchases to about 540,000 barrels per day between January and June.

The report comes despite US-engineered sanctions on Iran over Western allegations that Tehran is developing a military nuclear program.

Iranian officials refute such allegations and stress that as a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency and a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the country has a legitimate right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology.

Iran to launch largest South Pars phase

Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Mousa Souri says the biggest phase of South Pars gas condensate field will come on stream in October 2012.

Speaking to reports in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Thursday, Souri said the 12th phase of South Pars gas field -- the biggest gas reservoir in the world -- with an output of 84 million cubic meters of sour gas on a daily basis will be launched in late 2012, IRNA reported.

He added that 38 percent of phase 12 of South Pars gas filed has been completed and onshore and offshore gas refining installations of the phase are due to become operational next year.

Meanwhile, the tenth phase of South Pars gas condensate field, with a daily output capacity of 17 million cubic meters, is expected to join the national grid on Friday.

The linkage of the field's phase 10 to the country's national grid comes following the implementation of its development by Iranian technicians.

Although the gas refinery portion of the tenth phase had earlier been launched, unfinished well drilling and lack of state-of-the-art wellhead fittings prevented the entire project to become fully utilized.

'Europe mustn't let US damage Iran ties'

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks in an interview with Euronews TV channel on August 3, 2011.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/192261.html

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad welcomes the expansion of “amicable and respectful” ties with Europe, warning European countries that their relations with Iran should not be affected by the US.

The era of hegemony, slavery and World War II has ended and all governments and nations must currently cooperate to help establish a “better world,” said President Ahmadinejad in an interview with Euronews TV channel on Wednesday.

He added that the Islamic Republic is interested in cordial and constructive ties with European countries and stated that the world's economic and political affairs can be managed “in a better way.”

The Iranian chief executive emphasized the importance of reinforcing unity to “fairly” manage the world so that human beings will enjoy equal rights.

He pointed to the ongoing situation in Afghanistan and said, “The country's problem can be solved only through respect for the rights of the Afghan people. Iran and the European Union can have constructive cooperation in this respect.”

He noted that European countries are countering the Iranian nation without any reason and added, “We can have appropriate political and economic ties in line with the interests of our nations.”

Ahmadinejad pointed out that Iran and Europe can enjoy broad cooperation in technical, political and cultural fields and noted that the Iranian people have never inflicted damage on Europe.

“Although certain European countries inflicted heavy damage on the Iranian nation, it has an eye to the future,” he concluded.

'Iran-India oil payment row resolved'

National Iranian Oil Company Managing Director Ahmad Qalebani

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/191742.html

National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) says the $5-billion oil payment dispute between India and Iran has been resolved without any interruption in the crude exports.

NIOC Managing Director Ahmad Qalebani said on Sunday that after intensive negotiations between the Islamic Republic and India, the two sides agreed to clear the debts as soon as possible, Shana -- the official website of Iran's Oil Ministry -- reported.

Qalebani noted that New Delhi will pay off some of the arrears of the past months over the next few days, and the rest is to be gradually paid.

"In the coming days part of India's oil debt will be cleared and the rest will be gradually settled," he said.

India is Iran's second largest client after China, but Indian firms have been struggling for more than six months to pay Tehran because of international banking sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program.

Earlier last month, Tehran warned it would halt exports to India from next month unless the payments dispute was resolved.

Russia: Iran no missile threat to Europe

Russian Ambassador to NATO Dmitry Rogozin

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/191234.html

Russia has dismissed the West's allegations that Iran is a military threat to Europe, describing such concerns as “baseless.”

The Russian president's special envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, on Thursday, rejected claims spearheaded by the United States against Iran's peaceful nuclear program, IRNA reported.

We actively support the Iranian effort in its bid to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and we are closely informed that Tehran does not possess any nuclear weapons to threaten any countries, Rogozin stated.

The Russian official reiterated Moscow's stance on Washington's insistence on deploying a missile system in Eastern Europe near the Russian borders to allegedly counter possible missile threats from Iran and North Korea against Europe.

Russia has long opposed the disputed plan, arguing that the would-be missile system in its "back yard” is not to secure Washington's European allies but is effectively aimed at Russia.

Rogozin said Moscow is aware of Iran's missile programs, adding, "Upon this, raising any prospects of an Iranian missile strike against Poland or Norway is nonsensical and delirious." "It is wrong to label those who bring up such ideas as experts."

Rogozin said the campaign by the US and its European allies to picture Iran as "the bad boy” resembled Hollywood games and is aimed to screen the truth.

Moscow has called for shared control of any anti-missile shield, saying the aim of the Eastern European system is to encircle Russia, but Washington refuses to share the responsibility for protecting NATO member states with any third party.

NATO favors two separate but coordinated missile defense systems that would comprise of the Western military alliance and Russian systems.

However, Moscow insists on a European system together with the alliance, with joint centers for detecting threats and a joint decision-making procedure.

Russia has warned that if NATO pushes ahead with its plans and no agreement is reached with Moscow, it will develop its own missile shield.

'US, Israel behind Iran scientist killings'

Lawmaker Kazem Jalali

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/190606.html

Senior Iranian lawmaker Kazem Jalali says the assassination of Iranian scientists shows the desperation of the US and Israel in dealing with Iran.

"When the Americans and the Zionist regime [of Israel] realized that they cannot stand against the resolve of the Iranian nation and [after they] witnessed our nuclear achievements they resorted to assassinating [our] scientists," he told reporters on Sunday.

The Speaker of the Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Jalali, went on to add that these violent measures taken by the enemy indicate the depth of their desperation.

"[Daryoush] Rezaienejad's assassination was a blind operation in which an innocent individual was gunned down on the street, "Jalali was quoted by IRNA.

He added that the Iranian nation is clear on the identity of the terrorist and their supporters.

On Saturday, unknown gunmen killed prominent Iranian student, Rezaienejad, outside his house.

Rezaienejad and his wife were on their way to their child's kindergarten when they were approached by two men on a motorbike. The gunmen called him by name and shot Rezaienejad, 35, in the neck when he turned around.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.

'Iran downs US spy drone near Nuclear site'

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/189873.html

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has shot down a US spy drone which was flying over the central Iranian province of Qom, a lawmaker says.

A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Majlis (Parliament), Ali Aqazadeh Dafsari, said on Tuesday that the unmanned spy plane was flying near the Fordo nuclear enrichment plant in Qom province when the IRGC's Air Defense units brought it down, Javanoline.ir reported on Tuesday.

The official stated that the US drone was on a mission to identify the location of the Fordo nuclear enrichment plant and gather information about the nuclear facility for the CIA, Dafsari stated.

Earlier in the day, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast had said that the country is installing a new generation of uranium enrichment centrifuges in the country's nuclear facilities to enhance the Islamic Republic's peaceful nuclear program.

As a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran has every right to develop and acquire nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes.

In addition, the IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence indicating that Iran's civilian nuclear program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.

Hague must learn from Iran history

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/189864.html

Stop the War Coalition has condemned UK Foreign Secretary William Hague, saying the British Foreign Secretary has not learnt from Iran's history as he claimed the Arab Spring should not distract us from the threat of Iran.

Aiming to put in more EU sanctions against Iran, Hague published an article in the Guardian insisting that the western Powers have to mount pressure on Iran, as the Iranian government has planned to increase the production of enriched uranium.

“Iran has one civilian nuclear power station and is seeking to build more. All of these power stations need uranium enriched to about 3.5% for fuel. So plans to enrich any further rightly prompt questions,” he said.

Hague also quoted a statement by Fereydoun Abbasi Davani, the current head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). But he apparently failed to mention that his country gave existence to AEOI.

On August 19 1953, in a planned coup, the British and US governments ousted the elected Prime Minister of Iran, Mohamed Mossadeq, reinstalling Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the country's dictator who was managing the worst secret police force (SAVAK) organized by the aid of CIA and Mossad.

Shah had made himself completely subordinate to the UK and US authorities. In 1967, he established the country's first nuclear research centre in Tehran, which was controlled by the AEOI and prepared by the help of a US nuclear reactor.

The same years Shah had explicitly announced that he would obtain nuclear weapons, but shockingly there were no objections from The UK and US over the issue.

More than twenty nuclear reactors were prepared by the support of the Western powers in the 1970s. In 1975 Siemens AG, the German company offered a contract for the Bushehr nuclear plant. Those years “UK/US puppet in Persia loved uranium,” SWC said.

Right after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, the Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini closed the nuclear proliferation program, which was established by the help of the Western powers. Soon after the revolution Iran faced the UK-supported Iraq invasion, turned into an eight-year conflict, in which the Iraqi forces used chemical weapons, killing millions of people and wounding millions other.

“Reluctantly, the Iranian leadership restarted its nuclear programme.

“Mr. Hague doesn't say this, and the reason is clear. The UK government has overthrown a legitimate Iranian leader, installed a brutal dictator in his place, and helped him to establish a nuclear programme. Then, after the Iranians overthrew the dictator, it supported an invasion of Iran that prompted them to restart the nuclear programme they so disliked. During that time, the UK and US have committed numerous acts of aggression in the Middle East. For a UK government minister to call Iran a danger to the region, especially because of its nuclear programme, is staggeringly hypocritical,” SWC also said.

The analysts are now wondering to know why William Hague, claiming to be the peace supporter in Middle East, is silent against the US and Israeli governments who own huge nuclear arsenals.

Hague is seeking to demonstrate that Iran desires to acquire nuclear weapons to bring disorder across the world. He “tells us that he wants to present this issue without the historical context that is so important; to scare us with stories of a demon in the East, and subvert the brighter image of the region that the Arab Spring is building. After all, you have to justify a huge military budget and multiple war-zones somehow,” SWC stressed.

Maliki in landmark visit to China

Iraq's prime minister has paid a landmark visit to the Chinese capital, where he and his Chinese counterpart signed two accords on the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Nouri al-Maliki's Monday visit to Beijing was the first one by an Iraqi premier to China in over 50 years of diplomatic relations, Xinhua reported.

The official met with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and the two put their signatures on a deal on economy and technology and an exchange of notes on personnel training.

The deals would allow more Chinese companies to invest in oil and gas fields in Iraq.

Wen likewise said, "The Chinese government will encourage companies to establish a long-term and stable relationship on oil and natural gas supply and demand with the Iraqi side and expand cooperation in oil exploration, refinery and equipment trade."

China's investment in the fields of electricity, transportation, housing and telecommunications will also expand.

'Iran may cut oil flow to India in Aug.'

Source: Press TV
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/189700.html

Iran could stop oil exports to India starting on August 1 if the financial dispute over the payment of arrears is not resolved, according to an Iranian Oil Ministry official.

The unnamed official told the Fars news agency on Monday that Iran does not want to halt oil shipments to India indefinitely and will only halt deliveries scheduled for August if India fails to pay its debt to the Islamic Republic.

Also on Monday, Central Bank of Iran Governor Mahmoud Bahmani said that there have been some negotiations with Indian officials over the overdue payment, which now stands at five billion dollars. Bahmani corrected earlier reports that said the figure was nine billion dollars.

In February 2011, Iran and India agreed to set up a new mechanism for the oil payments using euros through the EIH Bank in Germany.

On April 7, Germany rebuffed pressure by the United States and the European Union to close down the EIH Bank, announcing that it has no proof that any illegal activities are being conducted by the bank.

German Foreign Ministry spokesman Andreas Peschke said that the EIH Bank will continue its activities in the European country.

India imports 84 percent of its oil requirements and depends heavily on oil from the Middle East to power its economy.

Iran is reportedly India's second biggest oil supplier after Saudi Arabia and exports about $12 billion of petroleum to Asia's third largest oil consumer

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for more trade ties with China, saying there is no limit for expanding bilateral relations.

President Ahmadinejad also urged closer collaborations in energy, space technology and tourism spheres in a Saturday meeting with He Guoqiang, a senior official of China's Communist Party , IRNA reported.

The president noted that Tehran and Beijing aim to increase their trade exchanges in near future, saying, "The main objective pursued by both countries is to quickly bring our economic and trade exchanges to $100 billion.”

“Today we should join hands and move in line with the progress of our nations because future belongs to our nations,” he went on to say.

Guoqiang said in turn that the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of China's most important trading partners, emphasizing that China seeks to strengthen its cooperation with Iran.

He also added that further expansion of relations with Tehran is in the interest of both nations as well as regional countries.

Iran has deployed 5,000 military forces in the northwest of the country along its common border with the Iraqi Kurdistan region.

According to an informed source, these forces are fully equipped and have been stationed along the Sardasht border with Iraqi Kurdistan.

The purpose of the deployment is holding military maneuvers with the aim of stabilizing the border area and fighting counterrevolutionary groups.

Recently, a senior Iranian military commander said with the support of the US, President of Iraqi Kurdistan Massoud Barzani had dedicated 300,000 hectares (three million square kilometers) of the region's lands to the terrorist Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK).

The group is using these lands to carry out anti-Iran military activities, the Iranian commander said.

PJAK is an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which is known as a terrorist group by much of the international community, including the US.

PKK has been fighting the Turkish government since 1984 for an independent state in southeastern Turkey.

Both terrorist organizations are stationed in the mountainous border areas in Iraqi Kurdistan. They use the contributions made to them by Iraqi Kurds to penetrate Iranian soil and carry out bombings and terrorist activities.

Iran's Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi has dismissed the recent threats against Tehran by the former CIA director recently appointed as the new US defense chief.

Speaking to reporters in a post-cabinet session in the capital Tehran on Wednesday, Moslehi vehemently rejected Leon Panetta's latest claims that weapons supplied by Iran are behind a spate of attacks against American forces in Iraq as the US troops set out to depart from the strife-torn country, IRNA reported.

He also described the US defense chief's threats that the United States will take stronger action against Iran as “empty.”

Moslehi stated that Panetta's latest gesture is nothing new as US officials have been making threats against Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The US government resorts to intimidation anytime their efforts to sway public opinion fails, the Iranian intelligence minister pointed out.

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said on Tuesday that the US hegemony in the region has come to an end, and Panetta's remarks indicate Washington's “political defeat.”

He added that the United States tries to sow discord among the countries of the region, but such attempts are doomed to failure due to their wrong interpretation of the regional events.

Also on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast described the accusations as a “big lie.”

Mehmanparast said that Washington was making desperate efforts to find a way to extend its stay in the region “since the Americans are facing a widespread wave of opposition by the Iraqi people, government and [political] parties, and they must leave Iraq by the end of 2011 and Afghanistan by the end of 2014.”

On Monday, Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi also rejected Panetta's allegations.

“The international community and world public opinion are well aware that Iran as a responsible country has always behaved in a way [that has seen] its duties carried out well,” Salehi said.
