Iran’s Jews – Iran

Video Release Date: May 2007

Video Link: Journeyman Pictures - YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngttxIzXRsE&feature=plcp

The fiercely Islamic Republic of Iran, is perhaps the last place you would expect to find a large Jewish community. But despite political use of anti-semitic, anti-Israeli slogans, Iran's Jews appear remarkably free.

"Anti-semitism has never been the general policy of the Iranian government" explains Maurice Mottamed, the country's sole Jewish MP. There are of course "glaring differences" in treatment between the majority Muslim population and religious minorities. But remarkably most of the time Iranian Jews are "comfortably doing everything they want to do here. We can perform all our religious celebrations." This is an image very much at odds with fashionable Western opinion.

"Iran's problem with Israel is its government & policies, not its people"

Tony Cartalucci
http://landdestroyer.blogspot.ca/

November 12, 2012 - Despite the US and Israel openly subverting, encircling, unleashing terrorists and threatening war upon Iran - the nation, both its government and its people, hold a balanced view toward the people living under the governments threatening them. Because of the torrent of propaganda washing over global audiences, many might be surprised at the conditions under which Iran's Jewish community live (the largest population of Jews in the Middle East outside of Israel) - surprised that they have representation in the government, protections, and an ancient, thriving culture.

Journeyman Pictures takes us into this community and offers us an alternative view of not only Iran's position toward Judaism and the world, but insight into the insidious, manipulative deceit of Western governments, including their Middle East client regime within Israel itself.

Uganda says Kony 2012 campaign misinforms

Prime Minister of Uganda, Amama Mbabazi

The Ugandan government has launched an online response to the Kony 2012 viral video, seeking to correct “false impressions” created by the film.

Uganda’s Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi released a nine-minute video addressing those who had watched Kony 2012 video and back the subsequent campaign.

He said the fact that Jozeph Kony is a criminal is undeniable – but the film misses a key point.

“The Kony 2012 campaign fails to make one point clear: Joseph Kony is not in Uganda,” Mbabazi stated.

The minister said Kony has not been in the country since 2006, when the national troops forced the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) out of Uganda. He added that the LRA now consists of just a couple hundred fighters, who are based in Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic and the Republic of South Sudan.

"Uganda is not in conflict. Uganda is a modern, developing country which enjoys peace, stability and security," Mbabazi assured viewers, inviting anyone who doubts it to come and see for themselves.

He also said that he had sent a personal invitation via Twitter to twenty international celebrities who back the Kony 2012 campaign.

Kony 2012 was created by Invisible Children, an organization aiming to raise awareness about the activities of the LRA in Uganda and to seek the arrest of Kony.

The video has gone viral, getting over 80 million views on YouTube with millions of people reposting it on Facebook and Twitter.

While awareness was definitely raised, the question now is: what was the actual motive behind the video reporting six-year-old events?

Some say simple greed, as skyrocketing YouTube figures resulted in skyrocketing donation figures. Others think big politics and recently-discovered Ugandan oil reserves might be involved.

Last October, the US deployed troops to Uganda to provide military assistance in capturing Kony.

Coincidentally, the mission came after Uganda had announced discovering some 2.5 billion barrels of crude oil.

The troops are still in the region and have no intention of leaving, the US State Department says

Ugandan women pressure groups have condemned the production of a film on militia leader Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), saying it brings back bad memories to the militia’s victims, Press TV reports.

The film Kony 2012, created by the US organization Invisible Children, depicts the atrocities of the LRA in Uganda, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic, and has been distributed worldwide through the YouTube website over the past few months.

Speaking to journalists in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Saturday, the activists said Kony 2012, which has been watched by over 100 million people worldwide, will traumatize LRA survivors.

"The film is demeaning the efforts of civil society organizations in Uganda, which is not true. We have done a lot in helping the war victims to resettle,” the activists said.

Ruth Ojiambo of Isis-Women's International Cross-Cultural Exchange said, “While the idea of this campaign against the LRA leader is welcome, the steam it has created overshadows the real concerns of the sufferers and survivors of this conflict in Uganda.”

Leah Chipepa, the executive director of the organization Akina Mama Wa Africa, said “Uganda [is] peaceful. Therefore, the campaigners of popular video should focus on countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, and South Sudan where Kony and his men still abduct children.”

The 30-minute film has caused an uproar among Kony victims living in northern Uganda, to the extent that the Ugandan police stopped its screening.

Kony, who has been fighting the Ugandan government for over 20 years, was indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court in 2005 but has evaded capture.

Man behind ‘Kony 2012’ arrested – for masturbating in public

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Christian filmmaker behind the Internet’s most recent famous activism campaign, “Kony 2012,” has been arrested. For masturbating. And being drunk. And vandalizing cars. In public. In the morning.

Jason Russell, 33, was arrested Thursday morning by the San Diego Police Department in Southern California and the earliest reports detailing the incident suggest it was one hell of a day already for the Invisible Children co-founder and proclaimed “mastermind” behind the Kony 2012 viral video.Police say he was described as "in his underwear" when the first 911 calls were made.

San Diego Police Department Lieutenant Andrea Brown tells a local NBC affiliate that Russell was found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance at around 11:30 am on Thursday. Authorities detained him at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Drive in San Diego, only a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean.

When the Kony 2012 campaign was released earlier this month, Russell’s activism group, Invisible Children, described him on their website as being the “grand storyteller and dreamer” behind their operation. By Friday afternoon, however, the bio page of the Invisible Children website was unavailable.

Within minutes of the news of his arrest being released on Friday, the group issued a statement. Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey published an one-paragraph press release, but did not touch on the topic of arrest. Instead, Keesey says, “Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition."

"He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday," added Russell.

Speaking on behalf of the San Diego PD, Lt. Brown also made an announcment. NBC reports she described Russell as acting “very strange,” but when your charges include public masturbation and auto vandalism a few feet from the shores of the Pacific while stumbling incoherently on a Thursday night, that’s pretty much a given.

"He was no problem for the police department, however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him," Brown explained to the media. "So officers detained him and transferred him to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment."

Answering allegations earlier this month that Invisible Children were profiting off of donations assumed to go towards ousting African warlord Joseph Kony, Russell defended the practices of his charity group by saying that their funds are funneled through an array of different endeavors.

"We're an unorthodox organization," Russell said at the time

Israel to 'liberalise' Gaza embargo

Source: Al Jazeera
http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2010/06/20106178232371674.html

Israel's security cabinet has agreed to ease the land blockade imposed on Gaza following an international outcry over a deadly raid on an aid flotilla convoy.

An official Israeli statement said on Thursday that "it was agreed to liberalise the system by which civilian goods enter Gaza [and] expand the inflow of materials for civilian projects that are under international supervision".

Al Jazeera's Ayman Mohyeldin, reporting from Jerusalem, said the statement made no reference to the naval blockade on Gaza, and did not specify any product list.

"Looking at the statement in its entirety, the international community cannot be please with this, as they have been asking for a lifting of the blockade," he said.

The announcement appeared to indicate that Israel would allow international organisations, such as the UN, to import previously banned building materials, vital to reconstruction after its war on Gaza.

The security cabinet, which began its discussions to ease the embargo on Wednesday, noted that "existing security procedures to prevent the inflow of weapons and war material" would continue.

Hamas rejection

Ahmed al-Kord, from the Hamas-run Gaza government's ministry of social affairs, said that this statement by Israel was "just propaganda".

"It is the result of the international pressure against the Israelis about the siege," he said.

He said that only 130 of 4,000 items of basic supplies are allowed in.

"Our request is that the border should be open completely. This new Israeli system is not acceptable," he said.

Ismail Radwan, a senior Hamas leader, also dismissed the Israeli decision as an attempt to "relieve the pressure" following the flotilla incident.

"We in Hamas reject the Zionist decision, which is an attempt to obscure the international decision to completely lift the siege on the Gaza Strip," Radwan said.

Israel has faced mounting international callsto ease or lift the embargo following the killing by its commandos of nine pro-Palestinian Turkish activists during an attack on international waters of an aid convoy on May 31.

Autopsy report

Israeli leaders say the troops acted in self-defence after the flotilla activists attacked them.

But preliminary autopsy reports revealed that the nine activists were shot a total of 30 times, some in the back of the head or in the back.

Israel imposed the blockade on the Gaza Strip soon after Hamas won a Palestinian legislative election in 2006.

Restrictions were tightened a year later after Hamas took control of the coastal Palestinian enclave after defeating its rival, Fatah, in a power struggle.

Israel says the blockade is necessary to prevent arms smuggling to Hamas.

But the International Committee of the Red Cross has described it as illegal.

Public Opinion, Opinionated, or Planned Suggestion

Seems Like everything I read these days has a twist on words that are confusing as hell to me. I had to look these words up because I didn’t want to rely on my memory in case I didn’t learn the words right.

Public Opinion: (Definition)

Public opinion is the aggregate of individual attitudes or beliefs by the adult population. The principal approaches to the study of public opinion may be divided into 4 categories: a) quantitative measurement of opinion distributions b) investigation of the internal relationships among the individual opinions that make up public opinion on an issue c) description or analysis of the public role of public opinion. d) study both of the communication media that disseminate the ideas on which opinions are based and of the uses that propagandists and other manipulators make of these media.

Pssssssttt…Sounds complicated, selective, and manipulative…I thought Public opinion meant what the majority of people believe? Can we trust those that believe they know what public opinion is? Who generates the public opinion pole?

Opinionated: (See Public Opinion or Opinion Poll.)

Having a lot of opinions…maybe?

Planned Suggestion:

(See “Planned Shrinkage”, “Planned Obsolescence”, and “State Sponsored Terrorism”.)

Propaganda:

Propaganda [from modern Latin: 'propaganda', literally "propagating"] is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people. Instead of impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. The most effective propaganda is often completely truthful, but some propaganda presents facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience.

Ohhhhh!!!….a lie spread as a Public Opinion…hmmmm.

Here’s My Opinion:

The Oligarchs are controlling public opinion, and keeping people unfocused to issues of great importance like peace and love and such. {The CFR. (Council on Foreign relations) I.E. Government and Corporate Management}

Since government is made up of these CFR people and the corporate owners put the Government in power, oops sorry…Government is elected…well in most cases anyways. I guess George Bush was lucky we had Public Opinion to prove that he won because no one remembered how to count votes in Ohio, Florida, and elsewhere. I didn’t vote for him! Did you vote for him? Well I am sure somebody must have voted for him because it was in all of the Public Opinion Polls.

The Oligarch’s objective is to obtain the monetary wealth of the World and enslave the Global population to subservience…the King and Queen said so, NOW BOW!!

King Oil Garch the second: “Lets make one kingdom and tie the whole world into one package through the illusions of wealth.” “My Kingdom for your money”!

The illusion is that you might get a house, car, computer, and maybe a boat, but who really gets it all in the end…who’s hand takes the money back?

We have been programmed to be greedy and to WANT MORRREEEE, by the television. Television programs you to buy corporate products and elect their guy for government…it also desensitizes and blinds us to reality.

THEM: “War, poverty, disease, and starvation don’t happen in this day and age, besides they deserved it”…

YOU: ???? What the $%#& are those ^%$#@*& morons &%$#@* talking about!!??

While we sit in front of a TV or answer our constant ringing cell phones, after we put in 8 to 12 hours working for the MAN, we simply don’t want to hear about anything…”Just leave me alone, so I can have my dinner, or watch the game…but they don’t leave you alone.” ….Anyone on overload yet? Anyone?

Are we too tired to fight back? Are we tired of all this crap? Do we want to live together in peace? I want to see an “Opinion Poll” on that!

Why is Hugo Chavez Considered an Enemy?

August 4th, 2007
By: Stewart Brennan
I’ll take What’s Behind Door Number 2

I really do not understand why Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez is considered an enemy? I also do not buy into what people are being told about him in the mainstream media. The media in the USA do NOT cover a story from a neutral point of view. I would also state the same thing with regards to Fidel Castro, and Mr. Ahmednijad of Iran.

The three names above have been made into enemies by “The National Endowment for Democracy N.E.D.)” A C.I.A. secret group and rabid dog of the “Council on Foreign Relations (C.F.R.)”

The American News Media spits out propagated information that Americans take as the truth and then echo the propaganda to confirm that American News did its job. When people say that these three men are the enemy, they are confirming that the plan of the ruling elite worked and that they do not have the will or mental capacity to do the research.

If you really want the truth…LOOK…IT…UP! Wikipedia has good information on Hugo Chavez mostly because he is an active character in our Internet generation. The Internet is the people’s only medium of free speech so use it to research and question everything you hear that comes from the newspaper’s Ten Commandments or the Gospel according to Television.

The three men above resisted American Imperial domination, and were demonized for it. They took action. What did Chavez do exactly? Well he brought Freedom to his people! He cut the chains of grotesque poverty where 9 out of 10 had nothing and the 1 out of 10 owned everything and were connected to US Imperial corporations. The wealth of Venezuela was being stolen and not one cent was going back to its people, with the exception of the people in charge of the government, banks and corporations which were tied to US interests.

I will tell you this much, I like Hugo Chavez! I think he should be given the Nobel Peace Prize! He is an elected President of the people from Venezuela. I will not write about what he has done for his people because I think that everyone should look it up on the internet! I will defend him with the policies that he HAS enacted for his people. Besides, he called George Bush a “Devil” and what is wrong with that? I have more colorful words for George Bush, but being a civilized person, I will not print them here. If the choice is American Imperialism behind door number one, and freedom behind door number two, I'll take whats behind door number two.

War Crimes,Terrorism & Propaganda

By: Stewart Brennan

War Crimes, Terrorism and Propaganda

After the Second World War ended in 1945, Nuremberg Germany was the focus of the first War Crimes Trial in recorded history. Nazi Germany was on trial for the crimes committed in the name of fascism most notably the aggressive invasion of other countries and the resulting deaths of tens of millions of people. The consensus among nations and result of this trial was to make future war a crime.

Chief Justice Robert Jackson, the American Prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials, was the laws champion. The law simply put, states that war of aggression is considered a War Crime and a Crime against humanity. High standing morals became International Law and all nations were, bound by it.

What is Terrorism?

When people resist their military occupation they are referred to as terrorists by their occupiers. A good example of this is in the 1900's when Irish Nationals were declared terrorists by England because they did not play by the military game book and instead chose to greet their brutal occupiers by with covert force.

During the Second World War, the occupying Germans called members of the French Resistance terrorists, and today, the Iraqi resistance to their U.S. occupation is no different than the French resistance fighting occupying Nazi's in World War 2. I think under the circumstances, everyone would defend their home against an occupying army, wouldn't you? At any rate, War boils down to one thing, “Economic Greed”.

Propaganda and the News Media / Medium:

An early example of 20th century propaganda was 1930's German Radio when it filled the homes of listeners who were bombarded with nationalistic propaganda to promote the wishes of the dictatorship.

Today, there is no difference when we look at the USA. There is an all out Propaganda Blitz on their citizens by corporate owned media. In fact the same corporations also inform their workers on who to vote for in regards to their corporate interests. I know this from experience because I saw it in the newsletters I received from my American employers here in Canada.

There is no doubt in my mind that corporations are tied into the political structure and news mediums, whatever big business wants, big business gets and those interests are conveyed at political fundraising events and over the broadcast airwaves.

Proof of the propaganda and lies that the U.S. News Media and Politicians are telling their own people can be seen by the overwhelming approval of the Iraq War in 2003 by the American people. Even though the evidence was fabricated and proven to be a fabricated, the government went to war anyways. US citizens were hyped up into a war frenzy by their television while the broadcast news ignored the truth and withheld it from public.

Now in 2007, after hundreds of thousands of lost lives, support for the War in Iraq is fading. Why?...because the Whitehouse got caught lying to the American people about weapons of mass destruction and that they were being questioned on who was really responsible for terrorist attacks in 2001.

Why are the Americans in Iraq? I believe that this might have something to do with oil, and that the military dominance the USA enjoys over the World depends on Oil. (Personal opinion)

Propaganda in the USA today is mostly delivered by the television, but it is replicated in all forms of mainstream news. The Television Station owners are funded by huge corporations through commercials that turn into profits for shareholders. The same owners are not interested in reporting the truth or the facts anymore because it just isn’t as profitable as a War. Bribery comes in the guise of billions of advertising dollars...

Who makes the bombs, guns, bullets, aircraft, tanks, etc. for the American government? Who sponsors billions of dollars to News programming? What do corporations require to keep going? How many oil companies does it take to screw the world? How many companies or Corporate C.E.O.’s are in collusion with the US government? Or should I ask, how many U.S. Government officials are in collusion with big business interests?

Conclusion:

The Laws that were created in Nuremberg at the end of World War two should be applied to every country, with no exception, because countries who prescribe to war through propaganda and aggression are no better than the fascists of Nazi Germany. There is plenty of room on the planet for everyone. Global solutions should not be dictated by propaganda or by hostile or aggressive acts of War, but negotiated. Justice should no longer be sided with who shouts loudest, but by just laws created for all of mankind. Why should the World excuse the USA for invading Iraq in 2003 or even Israel for invading Lebanon in 2006. The U.S.A. and Israel are not above these laws. Civilization demands A War Crimes Trial for American and Israeli aggression. The laws were created for all nations; therefore, the United States must abide by international law regardless of its position or stature within the U.N.

The World Community needs to progress together in harmony and respect for one another if we are to survive. Civilization demands it. Otherwise, the United Nations will be doomed to fail and mankind will travel a very dark road in the not too distant future.

Stewart Brennan
