Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi's daughter has filed a second war crimes complaint against NATO and France over airstrikes that killed family members, including three children.
Aisha Gaddafi's lawyer said she filed the complaint in the French capital, Paris, on Friday, which was related to an April 30 NATO attack on Libya's capital of Tripoli that killed the Libyan ruler's youngest son, Seif al-Arab, and three grandchildren, Reuters reported.
According to her French lawyer Isabelle Coutant-Peyre, the complaint also accused French Defense Minister Gerard Longuet and President Nicolas Sarkozy backing the NATO operations of "war crimes" and "assassination."
Coutant-Peyre said Gaddafi's daughter asked her to file the complaint with a prosecution service in Paris.
On Tuesday, Aisha Gaddafi lodged a similar complaint in Brussels. Coutant-Peyre said she was to meet with her in Libya this week.
NATO is tasked with implementing a no-fly zone over Libya in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1973, which was approved in March.
An estimated 10,000 to 15,000 people have been killed in four months of fighting in Libya, according to Cherif Bassiouni, who led a UN Human Rights Council mission to Tripoli and the opposition-controlled areas in late April.
NATO has decided to extend its military operations in Libya until the end of September this year. The military alliance was previously scheduled to stop the war at the end of June.
