It’s Time to Remove the Psychopaths that are Destroying the World

Psychopathy in Politics and Finance - Stefan Verstappen on GRTV

World United News

Recently, I’ve struggled to make sense of the Geo-Political trends around me as every step taken by western governments and their vassal states borders on insanity, while sinking the world a little deeper into the pits of hell. The struggle I'm going through, is brought on by the need to make sense of the endless amount of negative news and political posturing, understanding full well, that western positions are knowingly made on false presumptions. But what gives this sense of despair its sharp and painful teeth, is that I’ve also noticed most everyone in the west is cheering the march towards our mutual destruction without thinking of their moral responsibility, not using their common sense, or employing empathy for life.
To a person like myself who’s foundations are built by common sense, empathy and respect, I find myself feeling hopeless by the nefarious path western leaders are taking the world. It’s extremely depressing as I can see there’s no way back short of a massive enlightenment and revolution, and the population is blindly following their government leaving me feeling isolated in my thinking.

That is why I consider this interview with Stefan Verstappen by James Corbett to be very timely and inspirational. The message inspires hope for like-minded souls by the words “you are not alone in your thinking” because truly, the establishment HAS gone insane and I’m not the only one who has noticed.

Action / Reaction

I think it’s safe to say that most of us are guilty now and then of temporary insanity from our own vitriolic verbal reactions to injustice, even when our belief is for moral justice to prevail. This verbal reaction can be strong enough to be viewed by critics as being of the same behavioural characteristic as a psychopath’s…but in terms of being psychopathic, it really depends on action and intent rather than verbal reaction to injustice. IE: Being angry is a normal reaction to injustice, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Visual Influences

Verbal anger expressed by the individual is based on the never-ending violence and immoral actions committed by a psychopathic establishment. Anger is a symptom of this mental torture that is widely displayed through Mainstream News and social mediums. Most of us have been so saturated with negative acts, wrong doings, and the establishments self justification for their corruption, that anger comes out as a response to usher in justice while also stating that we’ve had enough. The experience can be likened to the feelings of being on a mediaeval rack that has stretched us out as far is it can possibly go without breaking us, leaving us in constant pain…so screaming loudly is going to be an obvious reaction.

Who could not be outraged by all the evil being committed by the establishment through state and economic terrorism, especially when it is done in your name? Those in control of society are most definitely psychopaths and those that echo the psychopaths' sentiments are just as guilty for feeding their nefarious actions that come as a result.

Screaming for justice and disassociation from these evil minded psychopaths and their aspirations of global domination is all we have left as individuals in a world that has become infected by greed. All that people really want is a World based in morality, common sense, and empathy where we can all live and thrive together without fear of the psychopath or their enabling followers…Peace is something that a psychopath is incapable of thinking of or creating, so its time to rid ourselves of these animals and their system of governance.

Problem / Solution

The real enemy of mankind are the Psychopaths that run the planet. These animals are a cancer to society and that cancer has spread throughout the World to every nation. It’s time to stop feeding this cancer by not taking part in their system. Stop feeding these monsters with praise, stop building up their moral by asking for jobs in their system of enslavement. De-fund them. Do not partake in their debt slavery; start living outside of their system.

It’s time to create the World you want to live in, even while the Psychopaths try to burn the World down around you. Keep your spirit free from their negative influences and create positive energy. Live your life in full empathy for others. Use common sense and moral judgement and give of yourself to others to start this reversal of trends. I guarantee that you will be the first person to feel the positive energy of your actions. Understand that everyone is on that same mediaeval torture rack as you are, so shift your thinking and making someone on the rack next to you smile…start sharing the positive energy by giving to others without expectation…let go of your fears and stop feeding the greedy system. It’s time to evolve past the psychopaths and their system of control.

Swiss banks to lose hundreds of billions of dollars after tax scandal

Swiss banks could see European clients withdraw "hundreds of billions of francs" as a result of bank measures to stop foreigners using secret accounts to evade taxes, says UBS.

Switzerland's biggest bank alone could see up to $32 billion, or more than 10% of the total European assets under management flee from the bank, says Juerg Zeltner, head of UBS wealth management.

"As a consequence of the realignment of the financial center and the planned withholding tax, we assume that hundreds of billions of francs will flow out of Switzerland," he told the Schweizer Bank magazine. "In the offshore business with European customers, I assume we will have to live with significant outflows of wealth for quite a long time yet."

Swiss bank secrecy has helped the country build a $2 trillion offshore financial center dominated by UBS and Credit Suisse. However, in recent years they have been heavily criticized as cash-strapped governments elsewhere have sought to fight tax evasion.

The toughening of the disclosure policy follows the landmark tax-dodging case against UBS which saw a whistleblower win a record $104 million reward from US authorities. In 2009 the Swiss bank paid $780 million in fines, penalties, interest and restitution to settle charges that it helped 17,000 US clients hide $20 billion.

US authorities are still investigating other Swiss banks.

Zeltner's gloomy predictions come just days after Credit Suisse, Switzerland's second biggest bank, said it expected clients in Western Europe to withdraw up to $37 billion in the next few years due to pressure from the tax issue.
With their unique secrecy practices increasingly under attack, Swiss banks are looking for a new magnet to attract wealthy foreign clients.

"Banking secrecy is no longer there. That's gone. It is over," international wealth management consultant Osmond Plummer told a gathering of Swiss bankers in Geneva last week.

The banks' vow of silence was so attractive to rich foreigners eager to avoid taxation at home that they didn't mind that their accounts did not generate any income. “The income of the account goes to the bank. The client has no income," Plummer said.

In an attempt to win back wealthy clients Switzerland struck deals with Britain and Austria to tax their citizens’ accounts and are hoping for accords with Italy and Greece.

According to the agreements, foreigners with non-declared funds in Switzerland keep their anonymity, but their assets are taxed by Switzerland, which in turn transfers the revenues to their country of origin. However, the deal with the biggest market in Europe- Germany – is pending, as it faces opposition from Social Democrats who see it as too lenient on tax evaders.

The Moody’s rating agency has downgraded the debt rating of 26 Italian banks, including the giant UniCredit, as the country struggles with recession, tough austerity measures and 1.9 trillion euros of outstanding public debt.

The agency said Monday that Italy is back in a recession, and government measures are cutting demand for loans, resulting in more loan losses and weaker bank profits. The outlook for all 26 banks is negative.

"The ratings for Italian banks are now amongst the lowest within advanced European countries, reflecting these banks' susceptibility to the adverse operating environments in Italy and Europe," Moody's said in a statement.

It however noted that the support from the European Central Bank lowered the default risk for many of the banks. Italian banks received 116 billion euros from the ECB's long-term refinancing operation in December and another 139 billion euros in February.

The long-term debt and deposit rating of 10 of the banks were lowered by one notch, another eight banks were lowered by two notches, six banks by three notches and two banks by four.

Italy’s largest banks UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo were both given deposit ratings of A3 and a standalone bank financial strength rating of C-. UniCredit's credit assessment was baa2, while that of Intesa Sanpaolo was baa1

'Wall Street leads in phony reform'

Obama claims his financial reforms will bring an end to taxpayer bailouts [EPA]

Charade – noun

an absurd pretense intended to create a pleasant or respectable appearance: talk of unity was nothing more than a charade.

The plan was to get the financial reform bill "done" by last weekend so that Barack Obama, the US president, could pull it out of the his back pocket at the G20 meeting in Canada to demonstrate American "leadership" on an issue the whole world is legitimately worried about: the real prospect of an even more serious global economic collapse.

Congress has been working on this deal for months. The Senate passed its version after the House adopted a different measure.

It was then up to the Conference process to "reconcile" the two bills, and come up with a law all could live with before taking the summer off to prepare for killer elections in the autumn.

No one reminded these alleged public servants of that axiom about the best laid plans of men and mice as in "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men. Gang aft agley, ... aft agley" (often paraphrased in English as "The best-laid plans of mice and men/Go oft awry").

Reform in name only

It is hard to know how "gang aft agley" they really went since all of the legislators are masters of compromise and beholden to financial interests that have gone through the provisions with a fine tooth comb and a surgical pair of scissors.

Already the proposed independent Consumer Protection Agency has been buried in the Federal Reserve Bank.

The too big to fail provisions are history and the wrangle over tough rules on derivatives have been targeted by liberals from New York who fear that the trading desks will move overseas.

Forget about principles here.

Exemptions are being carved out, as I write, for mutual funds and manufactures. Three "moderate" Republicans, including Scott Brown of Massachusetts have demanded reforms in the reform that will make it a reform in name only.

Doing Wall Street's bidding

Behind the scenes, the industry with 25 lobbyists for every member of Congress is intensifying the pressure at the federal and local level, putting the squeeze on.

Every member has a little something they now need to vote yes, explains Senate negotiator Chris Dodd.

"I dredge votes on the floor of the US Senate. I come back and I feel like a bulletin board ... I've got notes stuck in every pocket."

These lobbyists have poured hundreds of millions into the coffers of these politicians.

As Senator Dick Durbin admitted last April: "The banks - hard to believe in a time when we're facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place."

According to MIT's Simon Johnson who writes The Baseline Scenario, it is the White House that is doing Wall Street's bidding while claiming the opposite.

He writes: "The president signed off on the most generous and least conditional bailout in world financial history .... The administration has scrambled to create some political cover in terms of "reform" but the lack of substance here is already clear to people who follow it closely, and public perceptions will shift quickly."

'Get out of jail'

And it is not just the Congress that is backpedaling as I write.

The courts and the prosecutors are doing their share to issue "get out of jail cards" for suspected and convicted white collar criminals.

Dow Jones reports: "The US Supreme Court found fault Thursday with the federal government's high profile convictions of Enron's Jeffrey Skilling and former media mogul Conrad Black, rejecting the government's use of a key white collar crime law on which part of the prosecutions were based.

"The justices sent the cases back to two different lower courts to determine whether portions of Skilling and Black's convictions should be thrown out."

A Congressional provision has insured that convicted white collar criminals cannot be sued by the people they ripped off.

Joseph Collins, a corporate lawyer who worked for Refko, will not have to pay back investors he helped defraud.

Appeals Court Judge Gerald Lynch wrote: "It is perhaps dismaying that participants in a fraudulent scheme who may even have committed criminal acts are not answerable in damages to the victims of the fraud."

"It is perhaps dismaying." Huh???

Even the people who enabled Bernie Madoff seem to be getting off writes the New York Times white collar crime blogger, Peter J. Henning: "Senior members of Mr Madoff's securities operation, including his brother and two sons, have not been charged with any crime to this point, and one wonders whether anyone will be charged with being an accomplice to the fraud. Mr Madoff received his 150-year sentence nearly a year ago and little has happened on the criminal front since then."

The operative phrase: "One wonders ...."

So, the criminals go free while the Congress and the courts compound the crimes.

If this is not a vivid demonstration of corruption at the highest levels, what is?

'The new poor'

Meanwhile, in the UK, under a Conservative government financial crime is being treated differently.

According to news reports, "the UK government announced a complete overhaul of the financial services industry in the UK, increased focus on white collar crime, and a review, with possible reform, of the banking industry".

And while all this is going on, the economy continues to fall apart as Republicans sink a measure to extend unemployment benefits for working people who are already being designated "the new poor".

Mike Whitney writes: "Consumer spending is flat, home prices are set to fall, unemployment will likely edge higher, private sector credit is still contracting, capacity utilisation is far below pre-crisis levels, the CPI is slipping, and yields on US Treasuries are priced for deflation.

"The government must pick up the slack or there will be a general fall in prices that will trigger more layoffs, larger deficits, and social unrest."

Do not worry; each party will blame the other.

Already Republican candidates are telling the unemployed "to get a job," no matter how low it pays.

When some weakened bill is passed as, no doubt, one will, prepare for the TV spin by the punditocracy shilling for the status quo, and rationalising it as the best law that could emerge under the circumstances in such a dysfunctional institution.

And then, watch as the Obama administration hails it as the second coming.

News Dissector Danny Schechter directed the film Plunder the crime of our time and wrote a companion book viewing the financial crisis as a crime story.
