Over 130 members of armed groups have surrendered to Syrian authorities in the northwestern province of Idlib.
The armed men surrendered to Syrian authorities in the provincial capital city, Idlib, on Tuesday.
The Syrian army also defused 33 bombs planted by armed groups in Idlib on Tuesday.
The latest report comes a day after Syrian state media said an armed group blew up a section of a pipeline transporting diesel between the western cities of Homs and Hama.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on February 20 that “some foreign countries” are fueling the turmoil in Syria by supporting and funding “armed terrorist groups fighting against the government.”
