Former Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammad has disclosed a plan to send shipments of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli blockade.
Mahathir Mohammad, Head of Perdana Global Peace Organization (PGPO) has announced that the organization plans to send more aid convoys to take relief supplies to Gaza next month, Fars News Agency quoted Utusan, a Malaysian-based online newspaper, as reporting.
Mohammad told reporters that Malaysians were increasingly enthusiastic about sending humanitarian aid to the Gazans.
Earlier the chairman of the PGPO offered his gratitude to the six Malaysians who were onboard the Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
"Although we are not able to send the aid to Gaza, on the one hand we succeeded in exposing to the world how bad Israel is and its willingness to kill not only its enemies, but also the people from an allied country," he said at the homecoming ceremony for the Malaysian activists, which was held on June 7 in Kuala Lumpur.
At least nine Turkish residents were slain and many others injured when Israeli commandos attacked the aid convoy flotilla earlier this month.
