Egyptian authorities have banned further protests following the recent mass gathering in the country as oppositions call for more anti-government rallies.
"No provocative moves, or protest gatherings, or marches or demonstrations will be allowed," Egypt's interior ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Legal measures will be taken against anyone (in contravention), and they will be transferred to the prosecution," the statement said.
Meanwhile, medics say a protester died of wounds on Wednesday. The death brings to four the numbers of people killed in the recent protests in Egypt.
On Tuesday, two Egyptian protesters lost their lives during heavy clashes between police and demonstrators in the port city of Suez, while a policeman died of his wounds in the capital Cairo.
This comes as protest organizers have announced a general strike on Wednesday and Thursday across the country.
Reports say police have used tear gas to disperse protesters in Cairo in the latest round of demonstrations against President Hosni Mubarak's decades-long rule.
Police have reportedly used live bullets against demonstrators.
The anti-government protests across Egypt are among the largest since Mubarak took power three decades ago.
